Just knowing when to switch to piercing thunder ammo will ensure this. You'll get the most mileage out of Zinogre's LBG for a Rapid Fire slicing build, Nargacuga's LBG for Rapid Fire Pierce 2, and Magnamalo's for a Sticky 3/Slicing or Spread 3 build. My Most Favorite LBG is Nargacuga LBG with Rapid Fire Pierce level 2.

RF Pierce 2 is amazing... against a couple monsters. Sticky 3/Slicing with the Magnamalo LBG is going to eat most monsters for breakfast and what I suggest for a do it all build. Normal 3 > RF Normal 2. Try the zinogre LBG for slicing without sticky. It rapid fires them. It's insane.LBG: CRTF is Critical Firepower. It's a switch skill. You have to play around it, so I wouldn't recommend using it but it is meta. RFP2 is Rapid Fire Pierce 2. It's an ammo type. Pierce 1 ammo economy is awful. Grab Jyuratodus LBG (in 5*) or go all in on Nargacuga (6*). Jyura is probably easier to make since you don't have to grind out narga marrow/medulla, assuming you're cool with RF Spread 2 (honestly pretty fun now that the recoil on it isn't stupid).
