The lost sectors on solo will keep giving you new exotics you don't have, including the lost sector specific ones, then once you have all of them it will just drop any of them randomly. Do master for a higher drop chance. Legend is very hit and miss. As long as you're doing it solo and you have the respective dlc for the exotic you have a chance every lost sector run. Also make sure to kill every champion that spawns, the more you kill, the higher chance at an exotic.

The only justifiable reason to do a Master Lost Sector is exclusively for the "challenge", or to get the associated triumph. Be cool if they added GM Lost Sectors that had a guaranteed drop. if its loot you want, stick to legendary, 20% exotic drop chance vs 25% for master. (Approximate based on 1000's of runs).
