Superiority die are a very limited resource. My Gloomstalker is attacking 4-6 times per round. So those die wouldn't last long, vs archery or other static bonuses to attack rolls. Generally speaking, Archery + advantage is all you need for Sharpshooter. It's also togglable, so you can turn it off vs high AC targets. 6.
