OK, the load data that Hodgdon gave you should have specified a wad. If they were talking Winchester, the WAA12L is gray and, and CB equivalent is the gray wad CB0178-12 If they suggested the WAAA12SL, which is pink, the CB equivalent is CB1100-12. Also pink. Normally, those 2 gray wads work best with 7/8 ounce shot.

International is primarily a 20-gauge powder, and has a secondary use of 1-1/8th in 12-gauge, and a tertiary use of fast 1-ounce loads in 12 gauge. 7/8th's oz in 12 gauge is on the fringe, and 3/4 oz is probably a show stopper. International does shine in 3/4 oz for 20-gauge.
