I was thinking either using a Howa 1500 HBAR or a Savage 11 hog hunter/ 12 varmiter and finding a m40 style stock for them. I don't know about the howa's having many options for that, but I heard Bell and Carlson had the 1000/M40 model that looks somewhat similar for the savages, but has a thicker flat forend on them.I've been looking at a few after market stocks for my savage 10fp.
